COTTON INDIAN ELEMENTARY

A “LEADER IN ME” SCHOOL

 

The role of the Mental Health & Wellness Facilitator is to support students, school staff, families, and communities in promoting emotional wellness and fostering resilience across multiple environments.  

 

For Students, I will:

  • Promote a positive school culture
  • Facilitate SEL (Social Emotional Learning)
  • Support and advocate for mental health needs
  • Address and support social/emotional needs to increase academic success
  • Create a space where students can be successful in a supportive and nurturing environment
  • Provide resources that promote the overall health and wellness of students, staff, and families

 

For School Staff, I will:

  • Promote a positive school culture
  • Develop school wide wellness activities and provide training to grow SEL in the building
  • Provide trainings, support, and coaching 
  • Serve as one of the CARE Team leads
  •  Plan and deliver Wellness Professional Development monthly
  • Provide resources that promote the overall health and wellness of students, staff, and families

 

For Families and Communities, I will:

  • Serve as a bridge between school and community to develop support programs for students
  • Link families to community resources
  • Provide resources that promote the overall health and wellness of students, staff, and families
